Synopsis
Booster Gold and his time-traveling son Rip Hunter are traversing the central observation decks of Vanishing Point, the facility built at the absolute end of time. As they walk past the facility's chronal viewing screens monitoring historical anomalies, Enemy Ace appears on Page 1, Panel 2, displayed across an active temporal monitor in the very first scene of the book, alongside Anthro, Sgt. Rock, and the Golden Age Flash.
Collector Notes
Dan Jurgens returns to Enemy Ace for the third time, following Booster Gold #16 and Countdown to Final Crisis #45. The opening page placement is notable: by choosing to open the final issue of the series with a chronal monitor display featuring von Hammer, Jurgens uses Enemy Ace as a visual shorthand for the weight of DC historical time itself. The "end of time" setting makes this one of the more conceptually striking contexts for a von Hammer cameo.
