Synopsis

Published in Mexico City, Mexico by the publishing giant Editorial Novaro, this vintage 36-page issue brought Neal Adams' iconic spectral Enemy Ace imagery to Latin American newsstands. The interior houses the complete localized Spanish translation of the famous Detective Comics #404 crossover narrative. The plot follows Bruce Wayne's journey to Spain to oversee a contemporary movie production based on the life of Hans von Hammer, which is suddenly terrorized by a phantom Fokker Triplane executing real, lethal strafing runs.

Collector Notes

An exceptionally rare and heavily collected Silver/Bronze Age Latin American tracking node. Novaro published this issue in their compact, digest-adjacent "Colibrí" format, utilizing thin, non-glossy newsprint pages with their signature vintage color separations. In accordance with the publisher's standard operational practices of the era, the localized scripting work was handled anonymously by the in-house editorial staff of the Editorial Novaro Studio.
