Synopsis
Because the book is structured as a chronological timeline narrated by Harbinger, it does not feature standard panel-to-panel narrative chapters. Instead, it uses stunning, highly detailed one- and two-page splash spreads summarizing entire historical eras. Enemy Ace is featured on Page 30 of the core History of the DC Universe #1 segment. George Pérez beautifully illustrates a dedicated, sweeping historical section mapping out the early 20th century. Hans von Hammer (Enemy Ace) is illustrated directly alongside his signature red Fokker Tri-plane. Enemy Ace shares this specific historical splash page directly with Sgt. Rock & Easy Company and The Unknown Soldier. The narrative text explicitly solidifies their placement as the defining protector figures of Earth's massive 20th-century global warfare era.
