Synopsis

The story does not star the real Hans von Hammer, but rather his ghostly legacy hanging over a modern aerial movie set in Spain. A ruthless, obsessive stunt pilot named Gothard dresses exactly like Enemy Ace and flies a replica of his red Fokker Dr.I Triplane. Gothard has become so consumed by the honor and combat codes of the Great War that he begins staging real, deadly dogfights using real ammunition against fellow stunt pilots who cannot defend themselves. Bruce Wayne happens to be visiting the set as a financier. Realizing that a murderer is taking to the sky, he dons his cowl and takes off in a vintage biplane to engage the "Enemy Ace" imposter in a gripping aerial battle over the Spanish landscape.
