Synopsis
In the explosive finale, the giant mutated monster corners the heroes at the portal site. The Viking Prince stays behind alongside the malfunctioning G.I. Robot to hold off the beast and detonate the power source. The portal explodes, scattering Enemy Ace, Sgt. Rock, Tomahawk, and the others safely back into their respective centuries, leaving the island wiped completely from the map.
Collector Notes
Al Barrionuevo returns to close the series he opened. The Viking Prince's self-sacrifice is tonally appropriate for a character defined by mythological inevitability. Enemy Ace returning safely to the skies of 1917 is the quiet resolution at the center of the finale: he goes back to his war, unchanged but witnessed.
