The two-part Eric von Strasser story closes out Howard Chaykin's time on Enemy Ace. Chaykin brought a graphic sophistication to the final Men of War issues that distinguished them from the earlier volumes, and his departure marked the end of one of the character's more creatively adventurous periods.
