Synopsis
The mastermind behind the entire timeline-napping operation is finally revealed: a rogue, highly advanced shadow faction of the US Military operating outside of baseline DC continuity. Before the heroes can extract revenge, a massive, genetically modified subterranean super-beast bursts through the facility floor.
Collector Notes
Scott Kolins takes over penciling duties from Al Barrionuevo for this issue. The revelation of a domestic military faction as the villain behind the island gives the series a cynical Cold War undercurrent, suggesting the most dangerous experiments are the ones governments run on their own warriors.
