The introduction of Ingrid von Hammer is the most significant character expansion since the early SSWS days. Kanigher rarely used family as a narrative device in the Enemy Ace stories, so her arrival feels genuinely disruptive. Chaykin's graphic sensibility and Gaspar Saladino's expressive lettering give the story a visual sophistication that lifts it above the routine short-story format.
