Synopsis
The impostor's end. The double who wore von Hammer's face meets the death that the identity invites. General von Kurtz recedes but doesn't disappear. Monika's position clarifies. Von Hammer is alone again in the way he has always been, the only person who can truly bear the cost of being him.
Collector Notes
The resolution of the impostor arc has the clean violence of the best Kanigher plotting: a problem introduced and resolved within the tight page count of a back-feature story. Severin draws the confrontation with the precision of a man who understood that ambiguity has no place in a story's final panels.
